JOSÉ BAUTISTA

Musical composer | Film & sound editor
José Bautista is Multimedia Editor, Composer, Sound Designer and Video Artist. He specializes in the creation of audiovisual projects, sound and musical design for all kinds of genres (reporting, documentary, conceptual, artistic). He has worked with artists around the world and major photography agencies such as Magnum and Noor. He has published works in The Guardian, Time Magazine, Le Monde, Internazionale, Déclaration de Berne, Rolling Stone, El Mundo, El País … His personal work in video art and sound installation has also been exhibited in galleries in Spain, Japan, Moscow, France and England. Among the awards for his productions he has won 4 World Press Photo Multimedia Awards, 1 Bayeux Calvados Multimedia Prize, 1 VISA Pour L’Image Multimedia Award and 1 LENS Culture Multimedia Awards.

FRANCISCO MÁRQUEZ

Photographer & filmmaker | CEO
Francisco Márquez is a Spanish photographer and filmmaker specializing in stories about nature and man, with important international awards (such as the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition, London) and publications in prestigious magazines such as GEO, Terre Sauvage, BBC Wildlife, Airone, El País, Oasis, Paris Match, National Geographic, etc. Francisco is an artist deeply committed to the conservation of our planet, collaborating for decades with important international organizations and being a member of iLCP (International League of Photographers for Conservation). His interest in promoting photography and cinema as effective tools for art, communication and conservation have made him one of the founding members of the Spanish Association of Nature Photographers and its first President. He is also one of the founders of The Living Med and its current CEO.

ISABEL JUÁREZ

Biologist & scriptwriter
Isabel Juárez is a Spanish biologist and nature and travel writer, collaborator of important Spanish media such as Integral and Natura. Her stories have been published in two books of ‘Women traveling’, a literary contest in which she was twice finalist. In addition, she often researches and produces audio-visual projects for The Living Med. She has traveled through Africa and Asia to search for little-known human stories (Ethiopian hyena men, Gobi nomads) and wildlife species threatened with extinction like Bearded vulture and Snow leopard. Deeply influenced by Jane Goodall and Sylvia Earle, her main creative interests are the nature and social and educational exclusion suffered by many marginalized women in different communities around the world.

RAFAEL HERRERO

Underwater filmmaker
Rafael Herrero is a professional diver, director and underwater camera specialized in documentaries of marine nature and very involved in its conservation. It collaborates regularly with the main televisions of the world like Canal Plus France, National Geographic Wild, Channel Xplora Canada, ORF, BBC, etc. He has carried out numerous projects with the University of Las Palmas, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Canarian Foundation Mapfre for the dissemination of the Canarian marine environment, such as the series ‘Canarias y el mar’ and the documentary ‘Cheetahs of the Deep’. Of note is his participation in the film ‘Evolution’ by Lucile Hadzihalilovic, which was awarded in the 2015 edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival. He has just finished the documentary ‘Liquid Mirror’ and is working with the BBC in the series Blue Planet II.
