This image shows the exciting moment of releasing a Bonelli’s eagle that has been rehabilitated by GREFA in its facilities. This species usually suffers accidents in the field because of multiple causes (shots, shocks with electrical lines, etc.), but not always fatal: when these wounded specimens are still alive, they are taken to recovery centers to try to heal them and come them back to nature.

This image is a frame taken from a video recorded by Francisco Márquez as part of the documentary he is filming about the AQUILA a-LIFE project for the Spanish NGO GREFA.
