This image corresponds to a Bonelli’s Eagle-eagle chicken born in the facilities of GREFA in Majadahonda (Madrid), as part of the AQUILA a-LIFE project to reintroduce this species in many places in the Mediterranean where it has disappeared. The chickens born here are hand-reared during their first days of life by NGO technicians and then by fathers until they are feathered; finally, they will remain for several months in cages installed in the field to acclimate until their final release. Francisco Márquez continues with his shooting of the short documentary commissioned by GREFA on this interesting conservation project.
