This image corresponds to a Bonelli’s Eagle-eagle chicken born in the facilities of GREFA in Majadahonda (Madrid), as part of the AQUILA a-LIFE project to reintroduce this species in many places in the Mediterranean where it has disappeared. The chickens born here are hand-reared during their first days of life by NGO technicians and then by fathers until they are feathered; finally, they will remain for several months in cages installed in the field to acclimate until their final release.
